Hello
The best ways to get replies on this forum is first fill out your profile and post what you already know about the mangrove.
I personally don't know much about mangroves. I do know the more exsperienced keepers on this forum will not reply to a question unless the person has shown they have searched and made an attempt to learn. Once you have gathered all the info you can they will be more than happy to fill in the blanks.
Google is a good start. I'm not being rude in any way. Just letting you in on a little secret on how to get the big guns to reply. :)
It makes sense really.
Be safe

Mangrove venom is actually a much nastier cocktail than it is commonly believed to be. It is a potent neurotoxin that is on par with some elapid venoms. The only thing that makes a Mangrove less potentially dangerous is the whole rear fanged deal and a lower venom yield. That brings up another point: Although the venom yield is significantly less than front fanged venomous snakes, I have seen my male strike at the cage door as I was locking it and leave a pretty large amount of venom on the door. He must be producing quite a bit of venom to be a rear fanged snake and leave that much venom on the door after a quick defensive strike.
Effects of a bite can be variable. I've read that some symptoms include headache, nausea, dizzyness, and in severe bites possibly respiratory problems.
I agree with Eric that it really helps if you fill out your profile on this forum. Good luck!

so my experience is really with the large aggressive lizards and then boas and pythons thus the reason that some one who will remain nameles decided that when they had gotten over there heads they brought it to me so far the research that i have done has been based around yahoo search and reading a lot of forums like this on all the posts about the mangrove this place just seemed to be the most knowledgeable and the least BS out of everything i have read so i figured that id bring up to this group again though it has been brought up before you a few time over the past few years did search on here for them and got stuff going back a few years all the info says that it depends on our own personal reaction whitch can be said for a bee sting as well and if you count the gentilman who has replied to this set of postings if i remember correctly there are only two maybe three that say it is a real threat outside of human stupidity and this includes some of the apparently more notable members of this site but there can always be new info so as i said i bring the topic among you knowledgeable yet again to see what else i can learn
so thank you for all you can bring to the table
