I'm curious as to what everyone thinks about these guys. Good or bad. I've had mixed feelings about them, but a recent experiance has shocked me. What's everyone else's opinions? Thanks.

I've personally only dealt with them twice. Both times in person and in cash. Of the 5 five snakes I bought from them (3 of them 2 years ago and 2 about 4 years ago), 4 are alive and doing well and the fifth (a wild-caught, adult, banded water snake) probably died of a dietary problem that was my fault, a year and a half after I bought it.
That's not a lot to go on, but I have nothing bad to say about them so far.

Well, Over the past few years, I've done business with them as well. Mostly at shows. And yea, they always were nice and pretty easy to talk to and deal with. I recently have put my pair of Indian Pythons up for sale. The male, is a very nice light color. I made that comment in the ad,....just that he had a nice light color to him. That's it. One day, I go to check my emails, and I receive this from them:
hey dude, those snakes are not even close to being true light phase indian pythons, whoever sold these to you really pui it up your dumb butt I bet you have never really seen a true light-phase python, and you shouold not try to sell these as such -that would be the rip-off of the century what you need to do is find someone with a really large King Cobra and feed your garbage inter-grade crap pythons to them sorry, but just telling it like it is from: the ones who truly know.
Now, this kinda caught me off guard a little. I sent one back basically telling him that I was NOT claiming them to be any sort of color phase....just that the one had a nice light color to him. I cannot believe that someone there, would chance ruining their good reputation just for the chance to be a jerk. Not to mention the fact, that they were WAY off base with their accusation. What do you guys think?

I think you should triple the price and call it a pastel. Works for others.

LOL. Darn, I never thought of that one. HAHA. No, in all seriousness though, was that not the most un-called for thing that you've seen? I mean, I NEVER claimed them to be anything other than just nice Indians. And because some idiot bored at home had nothing better to do, he decided to start something with me? Come on now.

You may have mistaken RobRoy's southern humor for being rude....I wouldn't have taken his comments too personally. I've dealt with Glades for many years - from the time when the Loves ran the show and most recently Robroy whose animals are, for the most part, honestly represented. They are a little pricey at times but price is not a road block for me if I am getting high quality animals (if folks don't like their prices they don't have to buy from them). The few times that we had any problems (in 20 years of doing business with them) he took care of it right away. He keeps me posted on animals that I might be interested in and most of the animals we have purchased have been perfect specimens - even better than we anticipated.

I'm not disputing the quality of his animals. Like I said, I've done business with them in the past. That's why these comments surprised me. And excuse me, but I live in South Caroina, there is a difference between "southern humor" and just being rude. It's over and done with, I just was curious if he's ever been an a$$ like that to anyone else on here. Regardless, the email was WAY out of line. He needs to keep his b.s. jokes, comments, or whatever it was to himself. And then, to top it off, I LOVED how it was signed, "the guys that know." Dude, if you're going to start talking trash to someone, have guts enough to at least put your name on it. That's just pathetic.

Mark, from what I have seen over the years, the folks at Glades have quality animals. Some of the animals are a bit pricey, however, they seem to be healthy animals and are good folks to deal with.
As far as you recieving an EMail from "the guys that know" about your pythons, who knows who sent it ? There are a lot of folks working at Glades.
Without seeing the photos of your pythons and the ad you ran, or the actual EMail you recieved, it is difficult to know if the comments were justified or not. Perhaps it was "Southern Humor," as Rob suggested, or perhaps it is rudeness. But whome was the EMail from ????
True Indian and Celonese Pythons are very scarce now days, and there are a lot of very light Burmese Pythons out there that some folks might be tempted to call Indian Pythons.
Really difficult to comment without more facts.
Best Regards JohnZ
