Mark,
Complete your profile so that I can provide some additional info for you. I'm sure if you talked to Robroy and told him that you were offended by his comments, he'd be the first person to apologize - he's a good guy - just a little rough around the edges at times but aren't we all?

glade's is huge, i would guess they are the biggest. far as i am concerned they set the industry standerd. when i am buying or selling, i always check with them to see what they are doing and i peg what i will pay and what i charge based off them. another thing to consider, glade's is a pretty big plance and several people work there. you can't judge the company based on one email from a jerk. i have known robroy since about 1990 or so. bought my first cobra from them...on a side note, they should never have shipped me that thing, i was way too young and had never seen a live cobra will i pulled that 6 footer out of the bag. =) but i lived, and all is well. that doesn't sound like rob to me, i would guess some young jerk off that sweeps the floors there and happens to have access to there email. was it signed by anyone?

Was the e-mail sent in response to an ad here or Kingsnake? If sent through KS, one can easily send an e-mail via any e-mail he/she wants to list in the "From" bar. It could've just been some ass baiting you and signing Glade's e-mail address in there. Of course, if it said it was sent from a registered user from Glades, that's another story entirely. I and many others would like to see that e-mail as well. I've dealt with Glades and Robbie (not RobRoy) and have also not had any problems, but if that were serious I'd seriously consider ever doing business with them again.

I have personally conducted business with Glades for as long as they have been Glades. I know both RobRoy McInnes and Robbie Keszey very well, in fact, well enough to call them my friends. I travel up to see them on a regular basis, I look forward to seeing them and I find them to be knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional, honest and helpful at all times.
Whereas I have seen slightly lower prices for some animals, for the most part, you get what you pay for.
In the past 2 years or so, I have acquired 2.2 Aspidelaps l. lubricus, 1.1 Cryptelytrops insularis, 1.0 Crotalus cerberus (I'm still looking for a jet-black female) and approximately 8 Agkistrodon c. pictigaster from them....all are fat, healthy, growing and thriving. All of these animals, without exception, were acquired at very reasonable prices.
On the other side of the equation, over the years, I have sold them literally hundreds of snakes...they have always given me a fair price.
Perhaps as important as all of the above, if not more so, I find them to be truly passionate about herps...it is obvious to me that they do what they do because they love doing it.
RobRoy and Robbie have my complete and unequivocal endorsement.

Like many others here, I have known the guys at Glades since Bill Love was a partner. I have never had a problem, & have recommended them to guys looking for particular animals on more than one occasion.

send me your email addresses, and I'll forward you the email. Maybe you're right, maybe it was someone else, because yea, it was off of a kingsnake ad. But the email address at the top was gladsherp. Again, i'm not challenging the quality of animals. I was just shocked that someone wanted to start something with someone they didnt know.

I'm betting it was just someone being stupid and who probably doesn't care for Glades for one reason or another. I semi-recently had someone reply to one of my ads and use "info@answersingenesis.org" as their e-mail address, when it obviously wasn't someone from that site. It happens. People just get jealous of you having an animal they want but can't afford. They're not happy, so they figure you might as well not be either.
