Most people know that venom is used in the production of antivenom, but it is also being researched as an anticancer agent, pain medication, blood thinner and treatment for various illnesses. Venom must come from a lab that has been inspected and approved by the purchasing pharmaceutical company and there are very stringent standards that must be met. Immediatley after collection of venom, it must be freeze dried to maintain it's molecular structure. Venom collection therefore is only carried out in professional labs. And operating a venom lab requires years of training and thousands of dollars worth of equipment. If it were easy, we'd all be selling venom!

Well my friend offers lyphilizated venom from North Colombia Neo-Tropical Rattlesnakes Crotalus d. durissus.
He tells me he can provide at least 50 Grams of venom on a monthly basis.

I'm doing great Herpnut! But to answer your question, I still doubt that any laboratory within the U.S. would buy venom from outside of the U.S. They are more likely to buy the snakes and milk them themselves to insure product quality.
