The picture is a little blurry, but I think you'll be able to see what's so special about him. ;)

This picture is not photo-shopped. Once I get a few incredulous replies, I'll let you in on the secret behind this beauty.

Nicole, that is a very interesting looking copperhead.
The spacing between the hourglasses would make me think broadbanded, and the color and shape would make me think northern copperhead.
Try to get some better photos so that others here can see just how unique looking the animal is.
Best Regards

You say you didn't photoshop it, but did you pull a "physical editing" trick? If not, and I see what I think I see, it should be an interesting story...

Looks to me to be no more than a light colored Southern copperhead with a rattle photoshopped into the pic, OR there is a rattlesnake laying coiled with the copperhead with just it's tail/rattle being visible.
If it were indeed a copperhead/rattlesnake hybrid, which I am not buying, you'd expect to see more than a classic Southern copperhead with a rattle.
Complete bunk!

Are we supposed to think that the rattle is part of the copperhead snake ?
I just ignored it, as I thought it was something that was placed in the cage for decoration, and had nothing to do with the copperhead.
Best Regards

I am with Chuck on this one.If it were a hybred it would look a little healther than that skinny under fed poor snake. It would be headline news for a long long time. That snake is no baby.NOT FUNNY JUST STUPID!

There has been at least one copperhead/timber hybrid I know of. I remember someone posted a picture on the Kingsnake venomous forum a couple years ago of an odd looking gray banded/chevron'd snake with a stub tail and was asking people to guess what it was. I said copperhead/timber rattler and it turns out that was correct. It was accidentally produced in a zoo's display of native venomous snakes. I wish I could remember who posted it, but maybe someone else here will remember it better than me.

Let me go back and said the snake pictured in the terrible photograph is very obviously not such a hybrid.
