This is a really bad bill and could do untold harm to whatever remains of the public interest in and regard for the natural world. The opportunity to keep unusual pets can be a real door opener for children who will mostly retain their respect and understanding of all creatures throughout life.
The people in Defenders of Wildlife seem to have gathered their "knowledge" of animals from watching Disney movies.
