I am sure I will get some heat over what I am about to say, but who cares...forums are for every ones opinions right?
The classifieds have gone to hell in a handbasket, and it needs to get reigned back in.
ATV's, assault rifles, puppies, canoes, XBox systems, what are these ads doing on here? Seriously? The classifieds are for reptiles and amphibians and related items such as caging or husbandry items in my opinion and should be strictly adhered to.
This website is for the discussion of venomous reptiles. It also strays to topics pertaining to other reptiles, but once again, the topics are about reptiles. The ads should be also. Giving out free ads has turned into a free for all flea market swap meet for way to long. I could care less who needs to swap a motorcycle for a high end reptile.
When is someone going to reign this disaster back in here? Several people have commented on their unhappiness with the topics and items for sale or trade, so is this all falling on deaf ears?
This kind of trash does not take place on other reptile sites, so why should a well known reputable site as this allow it?
This is still THE site for world reknowned venomous keepers, so can we get rid of the trash that is turning this site into a glorified craigslist?
Bring on the flames, I can take it...but think twice about what you are defending here, I am right and you know it.

Paul,
I posted the ATV ad. I am sorry if it seems to not meet your criteria for herp related ads but perhaps with a little bit of open mindedness you might understand my reasoning for placing the ad here.
I personally am disabled and used the ATV to get from spot to spot on my herping adventures which allowed me a way to enjoy being outside which wouldn't have been possible any other way.
Being into reptiles since back in the early 80's I have met several people who unfortunately have similar situations as myself.
As my disease has progressed I can no longer tolerate being out other than short road cruises so the ATV sits in the garage which leaves me with little else to do other than concentrate on animals in my collection.
By placing the ad I thought it may be a chance to reach someone who may be in need of transportation and in turn help me broaden my collection since I can no longer really enjoy the wonders of finding and interacting with animals in their natural habitats.
So there you have it. No flaming, no hard feeling, just an explanation of why I offered up the ATV and why I thought it may be relative to herping since it was certainly quite relative in my situation.
Thanks for taking the time to read my reply.
