I have been living in Florida since March, I got a job and made some friends, but where i live there is not many people that care much for reptiles especially snakes. I have seen Cottonmouths,Pygmys, Eastern Diamondbacks. I have caught a Pine Snake,about 10 Corn Snakes, 100's of Ribbons,Garters. But what I'm looking for is someone that lives close that would like to befreind me and go feild herping??? I have found some good roads,and spots, and have permission to go on some land.. I also have questions on how I could get 1000 hours documented in handling Venomous, I am 33 years old and have lots of pics and experience with Northern Copperheads, and Western Diamondbacks when I lived up North, but I had no expert document that. Anyone out there that can help or that lives close to Morriston (close to Ocala or Gainsville) drop me a line..PS I am enrolling in Santa Fe Zoology program this March..Wish me luck... Shawn

Paul Moody of Easterndiamondbacks.com lives in Ocala...try contacting him, he is a very nice guy and may be able to help you with your hours...he is also an avid herper.....

hey, I go to the zoo program now and I have my permit and live right next to the zoo. I can hook you up on some hours if you wanna clean my viper cages....

just contacted Paul to give him a heads up and he said, unfortunately he would not be able to help with the hours....he does not have the insurance for it, but said he would contact you.....there is also a gentleman named Dan that lives out by the Goathe forest that enjoys field herping, Paul is also friends with him....hope this helps.....
