The Wildlife Discovery Center will be hosting Dr. Brady Barr, National Geographic reptile expert, for an afternoon talk, "Extraordinary Encounters and Plight of the Crocs." Dr. Barr has made it his life's work to study and protect some of the world's most dangerous and endangered land animals−alligators and crocodiles. He is the first person to capture and study all 23 species of wild crocodilians. Dr. Barr has appeared in more than 60 National Geographic films and television shows and has survived many adventures including a plane crash in the Brazilian Pantanal, getting bit in the face by a large boa constrictor, and getting pulled overboard by an angry croc!
Plan to join us for what should be a really exciting afternoon!

Rob- Tell him Andrew said "Hey". I have worked with Brady on a number of projects prior to my leadership role with USARK. Also, he signed on to a letter to the US Senate Environmental & Public Works Committee and US House Judiciary Committee by 11 independent scientists calling into question the "science" behind the USGS Constrictor Report. He is dedicated to the truth and is a helluva nice guy!

I sure will Andrew! He and his wife (who is also a big advocate of wildlife conservation; particularly crocs) are the real deal and its always great to hang out with folks who are as passionate about herps as I am. Should be a great weekend.

Rob, while I can't commit to going just yet, can you explain what one gets with the three different seating packages? Thanks.

Good questions: basically, the highest priced seats puts you in the first three or four rows, next seats are the remaining and then we have seats in another room with a remote live cast of Brady's lecture. In all honesty, there won't be a bad seat in the house - this is a very unique opportunity to be in a small group with a guy who has really made a name for himself in the business. Hope you can make it as I anticipate seats to sell quickly.
