Bryan, I always check-out anything you post. What you say, endorse or imply I take as a given. This forum and Kingsnake are teaching thousands of young herpers how to care for hots, how to handle hots and how to behave with hots. Tim Cole, Randell, Doug (who just changed jobs), Bill H., Snakes and Stuff, "Take no prisoners" Karl and a lot of other really good snake handlers who can communicate tell people how to do.
It's great if a young herper can get a real-time, real person mentor. More often than not, I suspect, they won't. So, these two forums become thier mentor.
These two forums became mine.

Are octpus venoms polypeptide or enzyme based?
What is its mode of action on prey?
How does the Antarctic octopus venom differ from those of other octopusues?
Very interesting topic. I'm interested to learn more.

They work at really low temps :p But how they do that we don't have a clue. That is the next step to figure out :)

Is it known yet which neurotransmitters the toxins act on? Are the pre or post synaptic?
Sorry for all the questions, but it's a fascinating topic! :P
