New bite treatments / sources for Naja antivenin?

I was doing some research and found these papers claiming the success of neutralizing Naja venom in vitro using plant extracts and antioxidants.
Does anyone know if further trials are being undertaken or if this research could change the way we treat snakebite or derive antivenins?
