The in-press version of the massive anguimorph lizard venom evolution paper that took me four years of work. It is in raw-format. The page proofs are currently being prepared but the content is more or less the same :) Only significant difference is that I deleted the lysophospholipid type as a potentially novel class since there was not enough evidence of accelerated molecular evolution. I am super-conservative in nominating novel toxin classes. I have an embarassment of riches in the huge pile of data I have accumulated so I have the luxury of only grabbing the low-hanging fruit :)

"We would also like to emphasize that these species belong to an ever-growing
group of threatened species that may affect biodiversity and cause an important loss of genetic
information. We, therefore, hope that this study will not only stimulate further research and provide
a new understanding and realisation of conservation efforts, but will also encourage the utilisation
of this precious natural resource in a sustainable and ethical manner."
Well put Dr. Fry!
