Since there seems to be so much interest in having venomoid snakes these days, we should market a kit on this site. Some super glue, a fake hood, and a corn snake (color of your choice). Or, for the rattler crowd, a honest to god, genuine rattle to glue on!!!!That way people who don't really want to own venomous snakes but want to feel like they do, can, and no snakes will have to suffer! It's a win win deal. I'm taking orders for spring 2011.

Ugh. The Mader book IS NOT a scholarly text! It is a decent medical reference book? Yes. But that is it.
Your very comments demonstrate that you have no real grasp on either formal or informal herpetology. You can argue all you want, yet your misguided attempts at proving any scrap of reality have been discredited long ago.
The point is, if you want a venomoid snake to impress your little friends, get one. But don't come in here to m argue with the big boys. You'll be up way past your bed time son.

That's it, Doug, get 'em !
We REALLY need a 'like' button here! LOL.. I could definitely code one, if I had access to the main site code. If any of our admins were interested, I could probably walk them through it. Would be an awesome feature to have.
I really don't feel like ANY more venomoid talk, comical or not. This nonsense has gone on long enough. The more I debate this topic, the more brain-dead I feel I become.
Lets get some more productive discussion going on here again!

Yep, this site is "Venomous" Reptiles.
If folks want a site to talk about how much they like venomoids, then let them start their own website.
Best Regards

I actually have seen some elastic hoods that were used as snake muzzles at a show one year. It's amazing what people will do to their animals.
