1. Understand that the snake CAN NOT BE DOMESTICATED. Not ever.
2. Learn how to feed, clean and water in a safe efficient manner and be aware ware your hands are in relation to the snake in its enclosure or ware ever it is.
3. DO NOT EVER FREE HANDLE THE VENOMOUS REPTILE. handle it at all for that matter. It does not love you, or want to cuddle with you, or even care who or what you are. To the animal, you are a big monster that is going to eat it. The animal will defend its self. If anything it may want to eat you. see #1 for more info.
Feel free to add to thees three things if you wish, but by adhering to thees three things, I have managed to not get bit. To me, venomoids are already a non-issue here as the site is "venomousreptiles.org not venomoidreptiles.org. There are web sites for those who believe in the creation of venomoids, this is not one of them.

The way you make this a non-issue is to not reply to threads, don't bring up the subject...period. There are plenty of web sites who welcome this topic and I have no problem with that whatsoever. The folks who founded this website have certain strong feelings and beliefs about this issue and for the most part, those who come here frequently feel the same so it makes no sense for trolls to come on and stir up trouble. But, trolls are trolls and that's what they enjoy doing because they are unhappy with their pathetic little lives.
So, if someone posts a question about the subject, best practice is to bite the "lip" (typing finger) and not engage. Then, and, only then, will they go away.
