Hi,
There is a market, but for an amature keeper it is not feasable to try and sell it.
The venom must be extracted under lab conitions and the facility is inspected by the customer - Wythe Pharmicutals. Also, to start up, a person would need something like 200 snakes and have almost a production line set up.
This market is is pretty well filled by a few existing facilities, notably Bill Haast.
And finally, a freeze-dried gram of venom isn't worth large money, certainly not enough to get me into it.
luck,
filthy

Nope, many comp. don't check and 200 snakes isn't crap. Many more are needed to fill a strong demand, try thousands. It takes 3-4 weeks to re-milk a snake and 200 total wouldn't go far!!!!! Tim

Sorry if my post sounded crappy filthy, I think you meant 200 as a start up, not total. Most labs have between 1000-2000 snakes. Also, I've seen labs where you could eat off the floor and I've seen some where I could see through the floor. The more professional the better, but alot of buyers base their decision on the final product, how clean it is, or, is it the right ssp.(venom wise). Haast and Van Horn are great examples of true professionalism, in all aspects!!!!! Thanks filthy, Tim
