I recently acquired two wc northern copperheads. They are 1.1 I cant seem to get them to take prey. Does anybody have suggestions on how to get them to feed.
Thanks,
Kris

Use Live day old pinks. Seperate the copperheads, if you have some locality info on them that may help as well. If the day old pinks dont work (seperate the copperheads, dont feed together) you may want to obtain some juvie eastern fence lizards (glades should have some this time of year) and start them on those. Most of my coppers started with day olds, some had to eat crickets and lizard until they got big enough. I would suggest that as a last resort though, try day old pinks and them fuzzies (some agkistrodon only respond if mammalian prey has hair). What kind of set up are they in? and what kind of prey have they been offered?
