I ould be mistaken, but I believe the AV you're looking for is the S.A.I.M.R. Polyvalent serum. Produced by the South African Institute of Medical Research (SAIMR). If I recall correctly, and I'm sure it will be pointed out if I'm wrong, this polyvalent is produced to treat all venomous in Africa, with the exception of Mambas and a couple of others that there aren't any antivenoms (Atheris ssp.) for.

it is SAIMR.
it is a polyvalent serum, (it does treat mambas also.)
The last time I ordered it, it was 45.00 per vial. With a Gaboon, I would have on hand nothing less than 20 vials. So it really isn't all that expensive comparatively. It is relatively easy to get but there is a lot of red tape and permits that go along with it though. There is a link here on this site that explains the process.
With a Gaboon Viper envenomation. Likelihood of death is very high even with treatment. So think this through very well. and definately carry antivenom!
