If I were to purchase a snake that is endangered, do I get some sort of paperwork saying that I purchased that snake instead of poached it? For instance, If I here in Wv were to by a ridgenose, how would I know that that snake was cb instead of taken from the wild? More importantly, how would the authorities know?

I'm not talking about poaching, I'm talking about buying captive born animals. How do I know they haven't been poached? This is for the sake of the animal and for my sake as well, legaly.
