O’ lord
Please protect us the herping season
as you did in the last.
Please make our eyes swift and our hooks fast.
Our bags study, and our hooks strong.
Please keep our hands safe and minds clear
Make our favorite herping spots prosperous
And may this year we have to hear no stores
of axs and hoes.

Cute prayer!,,Im sure we all recite something similar..when embarking upon a day of herping!..Im just not all that convinced that the Divine-powers "that be" are all that interested in whether I have a prosperous or poor herping trip?!.But Hey !..It cant hurt to ask!?!? You never know whos listening?
