I think it is a wonderful invention and should be utilized by PUTTING THE INVENTOR ON A GIANT ONE AND LETTING HIM KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE! If you need to eradicate a pest, do it quickly and humanely.

OK.... Now that I have finished laughinging
myself to death (way more convieniant than the fate that awaits us with regard to global warming) I wish to thank BOTH annonimous and daviewonder for making my day with the above comments and replies!!! Thats the spirit! Ja well... I dont even want to go into giving my thoughts on the horrific 'glue traps' as I just have NOTHING pleasant to say... Just very glad that it has not reached South Africa yet... (touch wood)and hope it never does...
Well, over and above catch and release I make a pleasent living giving educational reptile shows in sunny S.A and have heard some scary stories about how people (that call themselves civilized) go about getting rid of snakes... Its horrific in general, but as long as theres this misconception about reptiles it will never stop... No matter how many forems, shows, etc are running to try and make a differance... But we try our best! Anyone wanting to get into contact (reptile related) especially with regard to venomous snakes (as thats my speciality) is MORE THAN WELCOME!!! thesnakeman123@yahoo.com

I also relocate snakes from the more ignorant peoples that exist ( seemingly everywhere ) in the Jacksonville, Fl area. any snake, all snakes are venomous and not worth the effort to distinguish the difference from. Fatc of the matter venomous or not no snake finds people attractive in any manner execpt as a possible source of food supply, as they in captivity no longer hunt for themselves. Do-gooders apparently would bend over backwards to save a squirrel would alteratively do backflips to drive over a eastern diamondback--why----because its there. forgetting that because we have so meddled with the eco system that allows first teir predators like our venomous snakes to be destroyed at a whim, also allows rats, mice and many other assorted vermin to survive in more then substancial numbers--last time I checked brown rats were not on the endangered species list. Glue traps are inhumane at best leave the snakes in the wild where they will actually do what nature designed them to do as I stated I relocate snakes not keep them only ones I have are not inidigious to the United States--I am a accomplished keeper of some 30 years so I have a bit of experience

...continuing my previous ellusive message, please check out the back page of Spring 2008 "PETA's Animal Times" magazine where a lovely (?) bush master (?) asks that "we choose only fake snake." Additionally, Page 7 of the same issue addresses the horrors of glue traps. Although people would like to portray snakes as the epitomy of cruelty, seems we humans may top the chart. e-mail me at KathleenPeters@ATT.net and I'll scan you a copy of both pages. Kind regards, =^..^=

Being somewhat 'computer challenged,' I wish I knew where my recent comment (re: PETA / glue traps)went. I'd only wanted to edit it a bit; but somehow managed to lose the entire message. Does anyone have it, or has it gone to that great computer-limbo-in-the-sky? Sorry 'bout that! =^..^=

I apologize for not being able to bring myself to watch this horrific glue trap video. Never-the-less, my heart aches for the inhumanity of such a barbaric contraption; be it aimed at repiles, rodents, or even insects! Things like this make me ashamed at being a so-called human! With tears, Katz =^..^=

It is unfortunate that Daviewonder! and Anonymous have taken this thread to where it is today.
Glue Traps for Snakes was the original topic.
There is no doubt that these glue traps not only kill harmless snakes, venomous snakes, lizards, mice, frogs, toads, insects, and other animals, but that the animals trapped in them die a slow dessicating death.
This is not a humane way to deal with animal "pests."
Best Regards JohnZ

Firstly, Mr. Anonymous, I don't appreciate being called an arse-hole. The amount of crap you posted is unbelievable and your negative attitude toward reducing global warming is extremely ignorant, as well as worrying. We just have to hope that not everyone shares the same narrow minded view as your good self. The planet is not 'f***ed’ (not yet anyway) and if people can't be bothered to do anything to save it, then that just proves what a lazy, uncaring world we live in.
I think you have missed the point I was trying to make, which is sitting around feeling sorry for yourself isn’t doing much good. I think the attitude that many people seem to have on this site is very hypocritical, and that taking a snake from the wild and locking up in a tank is the exact opposite of what we should be doing, especially for people who claim to care about these fantastic animals.
However, despite the scale on which I disagree with you, I found your little joke about me blowing hot air very amusing, and have to commend you on you witticism.
