I know this is for the Southeast, but maybe you guys can help. I live in Oklahoma and am a bit confused on the permitting process out here. Nobody can or will give me straight information on the the permitting process to keep venomous snakes. I'm not wanting anything to serious, just a pair of Asian Vine Snakes and Eyelash Vipers. I've been keeping herps successfully for over 3 years now and am ready to try my hand at something a little more advanced.
If you have any information on the OK permitting process I would be very grateful for the information.
I also believe, don't know for sure, but believe that you must have a certain amount of time handling these magnificent animals. If you have any ideas on how to obtain this time that information would also be greatly appreciated.

aboutthe best advice I could give you would be to contact your local DNR an ask them. They will most likely put you in contact with someone in their Special Permits Divison an can help you from there.
