It is possible to overfeed one. For two reasons, one is the regurgitation factor. I have over fed a snake before thinking I was power feeding him and he got too full and threw not just one mouse up but all of the ones he had eaten which was 3 at one feeding. The second reason is obesity. It is possible to feed your snake so much that he becomes obese. I think this occurs because if they are full all the time, they tend to lay around too much and the amount of caloric that remains unused is converted to fat. My advice is to feed once a week. I feed my subadult Crotalus Ruber two decent sized mice a week and he is growing just fine and he is not a fatty. You might start thinking about deworming because if he is eating as much as you say he is, he may have parasites that are feeding off of his meals. Just a few ideas.
Good luck
Clayton

Hi:
I agree with Clayton. It seems to me 2 mice a week is plenty. In the wild it may only eat a mouse every few weeks.
Good Luck,
Al

That is definately too much! I have been working with rattlesnakes for 25 years and have (for much of it) fed only about once every two to three weeks (depending on species).
Overfeeding actually prevents some collectors from being able to breed certain soecies. Another consideration is that it definately has a bearing on life expectancy.
