i didnt start to think much of it til it got to the 2nd month. i moved the tank to a diff side of the room, on a side more affected by the outside temp. i have since put it back, just in case that was the problem. i cleaned the entire enclosure. he has lost some girth, but still looks good. it has now, as of today, been 81 days since his last meal.any suggestions

My T. Popes have always been hard to feed, and they're getting to the point now where I'm watching them closely. My white lipped though (T. Albolabris) are still eating very well. But, my gold eyelash (B. Schlegili), which used to eat on cue, every week, hasn't eaten in about 6 weeks. And my atheris's, all of them except the male, have refused eating now for about two months.
I don't know the answer, but I know that it's not unusual for many of the viperidae to stop eating; either due to an instinctive response to seasonal changes, an abrupt change to the environment or parasitical infestation, they just stop. I usually begin assisted feeding around 6 weeks.
There are many smarter people than myself here that can help, but for what it's worth, I'd check the humidity levels, temperature and lighting. They like it on the darkside, make sure yo don't have 24 hour lighting. If you can find a vet that will do a fecal sample (I can't) then I'd check that to be sure. If all of those check out ok, then if it were me, I'd start assisted feeding after 6-8 weeks.

Most trimeresurus will readily take frogs if they refuse mice. Make sure its warm, humid and treat him for worms.
