Don't you know it's illegal to keep blacktails in Georgia? You posted this same question in the repticzone forum, remember? I can't blame you for posting as anonymous, with the amount of backlash you've been taking, this would only amount to more.
Why don't you enjoy the native species that your state ALLOWS you to keep? You have it pretty good compared to other states.

tj,
You might as well post anonymous if your profile tells nothing about you. Him posting anonymous is the same as you posting your profile in plain view. You have no name, no anything. Just tj.

Sorry for caring, Joe. I can't seem to help it, especially since my state just banned hots and aren't handing out renewals for any breeds of snakes I don't have, that I want. I luckily enough am grandfathered in for a few snakes, that I will be getting rid of, just like the others I've given away, or sold. I can't buy ANY new snakes now. It seems like there isn't enough people like myself out there. Al Phobos seems to be taking quite a beating recently, as myself in certain forums, for expressing displeasure in certain topics. Why is that? When a person posts a topic in one forum that he HAS a mexican blacktail, then posts that it's his friends in another state, then posts anonymously in another forum asking the same question THAT HE SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER FOR, if of course he is a responsible keeper, then why shouldn't someone speak up about his activities? It's people like him that ruin it for other people. Why should other people in Georgia, like Karl for instance, have to pay the penalty for someone who has the "live and let live", I don't give a sh!t attitude?
Again, I apologize for making a statement like I did. Since states are dropping like flies, and I would GUARANTEE Florida will have a law change in the next number of years, I will be the first to give you a nice hardy laugh when you have to get rid of your snakes for not taking things seriously.
Sincerely,
Tom

Heres the thing, He bought some snakes at a show, I sent him money, he said, what do you want. I told him a blacktail, he said ok, im moving down there in a month(Well less than a month now) He called me and said, I put it on sand but it seems uncomfortable, its expensive sand but do you think I can use cypress mulch. I said let me ask some people on the internet. He said ok. He called back and said that he switched it over to cypress mulch, I said cool. The reason I was asking is because, I know they are from places that are hot and dry, I know cypress mulch retains moisture and I wanted to hear what other people use on there black tails. Nothing I am doing is in any way illegal. But seriously thanks for your concern and thanks to all who responded.

Tom,
First off, I do care but my thing is you cannot police everybody. You cannot stop illegal keeping of venomous snakes. It's going to happen. The reason why this madness has happened is the states like OH,KY, ect that had NO sensible permits to keep venomous snakes. It's easier to make an all out ban instead of reworking regulations if permits where in place. Shows like Hamburg, Columbia, ect are also to blame because any person can travel to that state and pick up their snakes and transport it back to their state that is banned. You can laugh all you want at me like you stated if FL changes laws(which they wont), FL Game and Fish makes too much money off exotic animal permits here in the state of FL. Plus if they ever did change them, I WOULD NEVER give anything up, not even a Cottonmouth :)
