St. Louis zoo has, or had, a large Papuan taipan on display. This zoo has a great herp display. However, your best bet for seeing any Oxyuranus in captivity is Reptile Gardens in South Dakota. He'll probably post on here shortly, but a man who frequents this and other online forums, Terry Phillips, is curator of that reptile park. They have all three species of taipan in captivity, plus a plethora of other things.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo also has a Coastal Taipan on exhibit that we donated to them. St. Louis last I was there replaced the PNG Taipan with a really nice Black Mamba.
We have 20 Taipans on grounds of all three species.
Also, new this year on exhibit are Tiger Snakes, King Browns, E. Browns, Death Adders, Red Belly Blacksnakes, Blue Belly Blacksnakes, Funnel Web Spiders and an assortment of other Aussie fun!
If you are into Au. stuff especially venomous stuff. This is the place to see it all.
We should have our website updated real soon.
Regards,
Terry
(oh ya Chance. It's Phillip not Phillips. I lost my as.....'S' in Vegas. haha.
