O.K. No eye cap period?
Look at it this way, we slough our outer layers of skin continuously. Snakes slough the OUTER layer of skin periodically. If the entire eye cap (which is a modified clear SCALE) is gone and the eye is totally exposed. Instead of our outer layer of skin sloughing continuously on our eyelid unnoticed. What you are suggesting is like someone tearing the entire eyelid off, exposing our eye?
Did you soak her and try to remove an unshed eyecap that actually was not unshed and tear the entire scale from the eye?
The only reason that an entire scale (eye piece) would be removed would be due to a traumatic injury.
I guess I still don't know what you are asking.
If the entire eye piece is removed, the only course of action you have is using a neosporin type solvent to continually cover the eye -keeping it moist- until the next shed cycle.
I have used this method to treat inflamed eye infections in different Bitis sp. by cutting a pie shaped hole in the cap to relieve swelling and fluids. Keeping it filled and moist with neosporin until shedding occurs. Which after a traumatic injury, shedding usually takes place very quickly after that injury.
The only problem is applying said solution 3-5 times daily depending on how active the animal is.
