Im not trying to downplay or forget about the human lives that were lost in the hurricane and I feel sorry for everyone down there but how bad do you guys think the wildlife down there is going to be affected? I know that the answer is obvious, but I want to start this thread to discuss the impact on wildlife down there.

Actually, the impact on the wildlife in Louisiana will be much less than it was from the Tsunamis last year.
LA being the watery state that it is, most of the wildlife is already acclimated to the conditions which exist now.
Just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply but I was actually refering to the pollution, chemical waste, gasoline etc. I forgot to clarify that in my original post. I saw a photo yesterday where a huge film of oil/gas was leaked into the flood water. The water was green,blue,purple....it looked disgusting. I am also wondering what happened to the animals at the New Orleans zoo. Again, thanks for the reply.
