This is not good for the girl certainly and very probable will have repercussions in PA. Pottstown is not very far from where I live, I am really really hoping the boy found the Copperhead as he stated. That area is not where I'd expect to find Copperheads. I have this bad feeling it might have been an "aquired snake" from Hamburg on the 15th. It is really too late in the year to find them with the cold wet weather we have.
The Pottstown Hospital is also known by be as not the hospital to go to for anything worse that a Zit. They have a history of Under-treating a snakebite because they are afraid of the serum. I also think the media has hyped this up as they have the tendency to do.

Did you see the photo on the tv? Looked like a Northern to me but it was a phone cam photo of the snake.

A news update on the victim is shes home and it looks like she'll keep her arm.Her finger was shown on the news and aside fom being swollen and slightly discolored ,it didn,t look to bad.They were apparently free handling the copper and she was the THIRD!!! one when it bit.
