I wonder if a way can be found to patrol the Classified Adds that are placed on this Site? It would be good to totally Ban Venomoid Trading on SHHS, but it would literally mean that someone would have to Monitor the Site 24/7. I would like to see the Trade of Venomoids stoped, but I don’t really see how we could do it...........................Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally

here in alabama, i can't keep anything that isn't native......so if i had a chance to ADOPT (no money involved, i'm not perpetuating anything) a venomoid, then i certainly would, because the only loophole i've found is if the snake isn't venomous, the species doesn't matter.......i don't see a problem with people getting them for little or nothing, just for the snake's sake, but i wouldn't ask anyone to butcher one for me.....
just like an orphan....you can hate them because they aren't your kid, or you can make the best out of a bad situation

I have no need for people that want or make venomoids like everyone has said if you want a venomous snake get a venomous snake they are not to play with or make a social statement on how much man you are or how crazy you are it is a hobby to be enjoyed safely with respect and love for the animals wether it be dendroaspis polylepis or a southern copperhead you dont jerk the teeth out of a dog you want because you are afraid of being bitten fear in this business just buys you a 6x6 plot of ground and a wooden box keep em hot and enjoy is what I say but I do understand the fear of the southern pacific I have had a few that being my first hot and they pack a punch but still no reason to butcher it I know a big bunch in south carolina that is into the venomoid seen I dont remember the name

Yes it stands for Dangerous Wild Animal (lisence) and is required for some species that are considerd dangerous to people but it is a bit grey as you can purchase False water Cobra's, Hognoses and large Boids and monitors without one. just a Quick reply as the law is a long drawn out pain in the rear. Ricky, I do agree with you. I also live in Alabama, which is a State with some very strange Venomous Laws. If someone I knew had a Venomoid that was just left to die, and they just gave me the Snake “Note : I would never pay for a Venomoid”. I would do everything in my power to help the Animal, after all it is not the Snakes fault that it was Mutilated. I look at it this way, if you would not except the task of helping a Snake in this condition “if within your power” why would you ever say you care about a Venomous Snake? I consider this way of thinking to be cruelty in itself. Does this not make sense to anyone else but me and Ricky? Just something to think on. I mean no animosity towards anyone by my statements. Just trying to give you all something to think about.....................Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally
