Alex, i have an email adress its on my profile is that what you mean? I'm new to this computer game and not to sure what i'm doing! Anyway i've had the baby viper on the hook several times now and she seems ok although dont worry i am staying well out of her strike range! I'm well aware of the risks involved with hots and have made up my mind to stick with the hobby. I'm not gonna take any stupid chances and strict safety precautions will be observed at all times. Mark, keep in mind that a lot of the damage in those photos could have been avoided with prompt medical care and timley antivenin treatment. While I can't say for sure, I'd say that at least some of those photos were of people who tried to "suck it up" and either delayed or refused treatment. What I'm trying to say is that if you are unfortunate enough to get bit, don't be macho, GET YOUR BEHIND TO HOSPITAL lest your friends refer to you as nine fingered Mark!

Hey Alex:
Yeah, the little beastie bites the hook. Not even my testy Sawscales do that....he's something else.

That`s awesome :)
My V.a. montandoni bite the hook, but in defense, not in a feeding response.
Take care!

Ginny,
I just thought I'd point out that while Todd is right that a lot of the damage in those photos could have been avoided with prompt care, some of the more horrific wounds are CREATED by surgeons who know a lot about trauma and next to nothing about snake bites and insist on doing faciotomies. That's another big reason to try and get to know someone at the the hospital that is likely to treat you in case of a bite.
