herping near augusta

looking for a few tips/spots/people to hook up with/or anything else that might help me herping in the richmand and surrounding counties (augusta area) i will be there in early May for a few days on occasion and wanted to squeeze in some herping
any help is apreciated!

Bryan: There are two roads, one below Ft. Gordon (HW 1, & 4), and one above (HW 78, 278, & 10). Both have some old house ruins and roadside signs where you will find some tin and old boards to flip.
Roads like 223 NW of Grovetown and the roads that run off of it could be good road cruising.
Roads like 56, Brown Road, & Old Waynesboro which are SE of Agusta could also be good road cruising.
If the traffic on these roads is too heavy for road cruising, take some of the side roads off of them.
These days, it seems like a lot of old roads that used to be good have too much traffic to safely road cruise.
