It's a good thing he stopped that wretched beast. According to the learned Doctor it could have been intent on invading the house for a burger, a beer and a place to crash! :)

Let this be a lesson, no matter how much educational television is available, some people will just never subject themselves to it. Blithering idiots still abound.

what's funny is that the rodent population is on the incline around here. especially rabbits in residential areas. i know they're cute and cuddly, but when there are 20 of them on your lawn, they're kind of annoying......these people pay good money for average sod around here, and when it's all eaten up, that can get expensive. I know a black rat snake eating an adult rabbit is a feat, but they can certainly eat sub-adults or smaller.
i do my best but people around here are really ignorant for the most part......my huge 6'2" 230lb brother was scared of my 20" corn snake. this guy can bench volkswagens, but oh no, a corn snake. what's cool though is that after 21 years of me doing my best to de-villify snakes, he is interested and wants to take care of that corn snake......his first snake.....hard to devote 2 decades to each human in the area though lol

I think this is in Arkansas, as a sound bite from the homepage is Southern, and the local map appears to be northern Arkansas, and the call letters indicate that the station is east of the Mississippi River. In any case, you can create an account and email them using this page: http://www.whnt.com/Global/story.asp?S=1746213

Chad: if my memory serves me, I think the State of Alabama only has 4 maybe 5 Species of Snake under Lawful Protection. Among these are the Two Subspecies of Pine Snakes found in the State, Eastern Coachwhips, and the Eastern Hognose. As a mater of fact, non of our Venomous are under any kind of Protection either. In any case, I don’t know how many Water Snakes, Kingsnakes, Corn Snakes, and Rat Snakes I have seen Killed just for the sake that people confuse them for Venomous. I am just thankful that my Neighbors Call me when they find a Snake in their Yards. This gives me a chance to Teach them a little about the helpfulness of keeping these Animals around. It is true, the Fear of Snakes is so bad around here that I have been told by someone they Killed a Copperhead, and come to find out it was a Beautiful Corn Snake. Lack of Knowledge is the biggest factor around here. This is why I am trying my hardest to Teach my Neighbors, in hopes that they will pass the word along. .................Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally
