Grow up? Read your previous post....I think you once again summed up why younger people have no business keeping hots. You just continue to demonstrate a certain amount of immaturity, rashness in your behavior, and inability to make sound arguments that tells me that you are not quite ready for venomous (yet). I will usually bite my lip but if you get tagged and no one tried to warn you, I'd feel very badly and believe it or not, some of the older folks really do care what happens to you. But, I do think this issue is beating a dead horse and we should move on. It would be nice if this website would make it clear as to what age is acceptable. Please realize, though, that many of us take this privilege very, very seriously and many of us older folks have paid our dues and many of us did NOT get into venomous at such a young age (I know I didn't). It took years to hone our skills with non venomous before working with the hot stuff. I just see this as a symbol of today's culture where the youth of our society wants everything right away w/out putting in the necessary time, work, or effort.

One quick follow up....I am truly sorry you lost your dad, that's a tough thing to deal with for such a young person and just know, that even though we may come down hard on you (and others) at times, its only because we care about you, your safety, and the hobby in general. My wife comes down hard on me every day so if you think we're tough, try dealing with a 100% pure Mayan Indian during her period!:-)

Its just that i get upset, that people get in my personal business sometiems on this post primarily. ive been dealin with, handeling, and catching all kinds of reptiles (mainly snakes) since i was 4 years old. Its not like i just said hey i want a gaboon viper and got one. I got white lip vipers, popes and some western massasuaga rattlesnakes. I no the risks. Lucky is the one acting like he is my parent or soemthing. Like i said before and another said, he has no business saying what people can or cannot sell or have. I no people on this site can give a rats ass if i get tagged or not, but its not there problem. Its mine, and i know how to handle them and every day i learn more and more. Thats all im doing now is learning. Im planning on breeding my White lips and western massas, and If it comes down to it ill just stop posting questions and things on this site if people keep giveing me and other younger herpers shit about there age. Everyone on this site was young once and made mistakes. Just put yourselves in my shoes. No one would like this post going towards them like this is going towards me. Like You lucky put yourself in my shoes. Ok now like i said AGAIN if you didnt like what i did ro said you should have came to me not just start stuff about me and my age. People can see how old i am and everything. Im not afraid to show myself or my age. I have a profile unlike you. I dont care if you do or not. Just before this happens agian think before you post and put yourself in that persons shoes. People would like personal emails i would think.

Im with mike on this one...And heres how i see it...Now this is just my opinion but if us so called younger people have no buisness keeping venomous the nethier do YOU...And as far as being immature well as i see it hes only standing up for himself for what he loves to do...And mike good luck breeding them white lips, i just picked up a trio at the hamburg show...

it's "technically" illegal in PA, that is, there are no specific statutes prohibiting the keeping of venomous reptiles, but there are plenty of butt-hole statutes that will come around to whack you if law enforcement (police or children and youth) decide to push the issue, this is notwithstanding any local ordinances. Therefore, this is a mute issue. Anyone that would be dumb, stupid, etc, enough to sell to a MINOR is asking for a lawsuit and fines...
and i agree with this, as a parent, you've got to have some screws loose to let your kids keep extremely dangerous pets...my opinion, it's still america, i'm still entitled to it...
I can't speak for all states, but I'm sure at least some are the same as PA...
I am relatively sure there was a dealer here in Pa who sold to a minor, who then got bit...i'm thinking it got pretty ugly from there on out...
I have 2 kids...they do nothing w/out my permission...
if you were to sell venomous reptiles to them I can assure you that you will wish that you hadn't...
This is a recent issue...about 5 or 6 years ago when I started keeping, NO ONE (as I remember) came on here and whined that they wanted to keep venomous reptiles...
Some people kept them as minors, and admitted it later, but it was never considered a "right".

You have very effectively proven my point. You have shown yourself to be a typical 17 year old. Its funny how everyone cries when their PRIVILEDGE to keep venomous snakes legally suddenly becomes illegal thanks to irresponsibility, yet when I call someone on their irresponsible actions, I get told to "stay out of their business". So… Ill sit idly by and watch the integrity of this site (excluding some very knowledgeable individuals that I respect and admire very much, who don’t seem to post anymore for some strange reason?) go the way of the condor. Oh, and I have been in your shoes before, and you know what I did? I waited until I was 18 and out of the house. And for God's sake, please try and type with the least bit of grammatical accuracy, it makes you look really bad.

See lucky your critisizing about teens. Im just sticking up for myself. (As you would too). The typical 17 year old? No.So your saying every age acts differantly. Like you however old you are because your profile isnt finished.(w/e its what you choose but its good to be finished unless you have something ot hide.) But my typing has nuthging to do with how i deal with my herps. Your just typing all fancy to have people say your smart. Your nothing but a smart ass. But anyway typing on the interenet is way differant than say writing a resume, or a job application. So there you go on that. The only one actually crying is you, (im stickin up for myself). saying not to sell to me and stuff. Your NOT my parent and thank god on that. And you saying its wrong for young herpers to have venomous. when plenty of them do. And wen you have kids if you do, are you going to let them have venomous before they are 18. Garunteed you will. But i no your going to say its differant but it ISNT. Its like saying you have to be 21 in MI to buy a gun, but you can be 16 to hunt with a gun. Your trying to change the laws or boss people around on this site like you soemone (which you are not). Dont sell to someone under the age of 18 because there not responsible. lol but there are alot of adults that are not either. Being perfect typing isnt everything either buddy. You look bad too typing like you do. You no y you try to hard to use big words and try to sound perfesonial but your not. "And for god sakes please try to mind your own damn business and stay out of other peoples and go to that person with your issue." You cant say to not sell to me. My parents could be into venomous also. and i could have posted taht for someone else, and i could send the replys to them. Like i said get your head out of your ass, and stop arguing with "Underage Keepers". It makes you look bad also.

ok.. what they mean by saying you are acting like a typical 17 year old- you are quick to defend yourself in a very aggressive manner, which is typical for teenagers. also, whether for a photo-op or not, you tailing tat gaboon like that was dumb. don't post a pic like that and get upset when we flame you. you aren't impressing anyone. don't take these things personally- we've seen too many people come into this hobby like yourself, and get mad over the same things you are. just be careful bro! we know that you aren't going to stop keeping hots now.. we sure as hell didn't! LOL!
just listen to these people here- best site for hot keepers by far...
oh yeah, cool your temper, and people will give you more respect!
