to tell you the truth, south park is my favorite show and i loved that episode. i obviously didnt laugh at the part with steve in it, because i loved him to death. but people have to realize that south park is a show that thrives off of those types of things. i didnt find that part funny at all and i can certainly understand why terri is upset with it, but i guarentee you that 80% of the people that watched it thought it was hilarious. south park spoofs a lot of stuff in one way or another, and 99% of the time i find the stuff they spoof funny as hell. this of course was one of the very few exceptions. they are in it to get good ratings, and sadly, the parody of steve probably boosted them....

To tell you the truth South Park is pure unadulterated crap! You wonder why people from other counties question the intelligence and emotional maturity of our youth... turn off the TV and go spend sometime outdoors!... read a book... anything! Just don't pollute yourself with that BS.

i understand where youre coming from and i realize that most of the younger people that watch south park arent exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, but i dont think i fit into that mold. i maintain an A-B average in school and usually a QPA of 4.0 or higher. a VERY small percentage of my time is spent watching TV. i spend most of my time on here, or out in the field (weather and season permitting) learning as much as i can about the creatures i love. so i know what youre talking about but please dont think all of us younger people that watch southpark are comeplete idiots.

I cannot agree more.
I'd sooner die than see my son watching South Park.
I hate South Park. And I find it distasteful to use someone’s grieve to make money!
It is not funny!

my 5 year old and i love southpark. we watch chapelle show too.
they also want her to skip from kindergarten to 3rd or even 4th grade next year though because she blows them away every time they test her.
if you shelter your kid, you'll end up giving society another naive idiot, and we have enough of those because they run our country.
i let my kid say and watch whatever she wants as long as she comprehends it. she's beyond genius too, so choice of entertainment has nothing to do with intelligence. people just can't take responsibility for anything and it's easy to blame our environment.
this show always picks on something or someone and i bet dead steve doesn't care one bit. of course terri won't like it, but i guarantee you that she's laughed at someone else's expense more than once and is just like the rest of us. so what. my kid has cerebral palsy and we joke about it all the time, because if you can't laugh about what can you do. i call her "crip" sometimes just because, and she makes fun of me in the same way.
she's not gonna be the kid that gets her feelings hurt and goes to school with an ak-47, and later, we'll all blame television.
people are too lazy to parent nowadays.

i absolutly hate south park. I dont see the point of that show. Little kids swearing everywhere they go?!?!?
What is the point.
Now, Family guy is a great show.
not that that show has a point, but it is a lot better than south park.

Ricky I wander if you would see it the same way if it were your dead father that they are making fun of.
I believe you your kid is smart. But just because I prefer my son to read books and I believe that person should be able to express himself without the bad language it doesn't mean I'm raising a sheltered idiot. My son is interested in everything around him. But he prefers to read Astronomy and Popular Pcience than to watch TV.
I have been raised in a family that never used a bad language and I grew up reading books instead of watching TV and I do not find myself sheltered either.

Ricky- as usual your analysis and insight are beyond reproach. We are fortunate to have such a paragon of parenthood to model. Nightly episodes of Chapelle and South Park will now ensure that my children are not sheltered idiots. Thank you so much for showing me the errant nature of my parenting skills.
