I just got his book, Venomous Snakes Of The World and it is great! Super illustrations and some pics of him at various places. i just wish he would do some shows in the field. He is by far my favorite!

There is a remark in that book I'd like to know more about. Where its talking about other rear fanged new world colubrids, he mentions the false water cobra (Hydrodynastes gigas) where he states That his mother was bitten by one without ill effect. I would really like to know how that came about. Was his mother a herper? Long story short, really good book.
