Yes, it is a opisthoglyph, a rear fanged, just like Leptodeira, Dendrelaphis, and Boiga. Although the hognose venom is not strong, to some people it has the effect of a insect sting if allergic to that type of venom. I have been bitten many times by my westerns in feeding response and the bite usually ends up very red and sore for a day or so.

it's a very mild venom and if you keep the bite clean it will do nothing more than inch like a mosquito bite and swell like a bee sting

I think the point to make is that while it is "technically rear fanged venomous", it is of little medical concern to humans. If you let it chew on your hand for 10 minutes, your arm will swell significantly. [Yes, someone has done this.]
