On average, How many humans die annually from snakebite - worldwide and in the US? Also, are there any stats on non-venomous attacks such as by Anacondas?

John, try plugging "How many humans die annually from snakebite - worldwide and in the US?" into Google.
You will find hundreds of sites with the statistics you are looking for.
Also, try plugging "Anaconda attack" inot Google, and you will find many pages of published accounts of humans being preyed upon by large constrictors.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ

The World Health Organization pretty much sticks to the figure of 125,000 deaths per year worldwide annually, out of a total of about 5 million bites.

Centers for Disease Control has published stats in the past re causes of death, and I believe the average number of snakebite fatalities in the US have run 3-7 per year, rarely more than ten. The animal that causes the largest number of deaths is the bee, from allergic reactions to stings. I think dogs (around 25-30 annual attack deaths) and horses (20 or more fatal falls/accidents) kill 5-6 times as many people in the US as snakes.

So I was curious and looked up the actual data, via the National Safety Council. In 2003, these were the numbers of people killed by some specific causes:
838 from falling out of bed or chairs
332 drowning in bathtubs
47 hit by lightning
11 by fireworks
66 by bee/wasp stings
32 by dogs
78 by attacks from "other mammals"
and the number killed by deadly, fearsome, vile, evil, ferocious venomous snakes was . . . 2
