Its funny sometimes, Things start off sounding really great and then just fall apart.
The African snake safari that has been on this page and on the KS.com venomous forum has turned out to be nothing more than a waste of time.
First, the lies about knowing and working with a National Geographic presenter. And just today (the day that this "Safari" was supposed to begin) I recieved an E-mail saying: "The trip in cancelled due to my staying in the states...do it this time next year...sorry..."
I shure hope nobody is in S.Africa right now waiting for their guide!!!!!!
A round trip ticket to SA is about $1,600.00 + spending cash + time + effort + the pain in the butt that is air travel = Too much to trust a liar!!!
And now...just a "sorry" on the day that you are to be in Johannesburg!
So, it seems that I was right after all.
A famous phrase that comes to mind in this situation:
Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me.
I think he will be alone when he goes herping this time next year.
Is this the type of person that you want to go catch mambas with???!!!???

Well,if you had the facts you would know.All the people that were going cancelled and i there fore lenghtened my stay in the USA.No one went to Jhb.Even if one person went,I would have gone back for them.What was a good idea did not materialize...i am sorry,but why are you disappointed?You invested no time or money.I offered something and no one was interested.Does that make me a bad person..i think not.

You seem to have some personal problem with Donald, and you haven't been too shy about expressing your opinion. It's too bad that the guy tried to do something nice for people and you spoiled the trip for everyone.

I invested plenty of time, money and effort in gathering equipment, planning, researching and working extra days to get the money.
The problem that I have here is the fact that the E-mail was sent the day the of trip.
I hope you knew that all the people cancelled before you wrote that E-mail.

Strange....you supposedly invested all this time and all this money yet you failed to communicate with me at all.I tend to think that is bad planning on your part.all the people that wanted to go had to cancel for some or other reason...either due to lack of cash or lack of time off...but none of them cancelled due to lack of planning like it seems that you did.I let no one down.How can you be disappointed if you did not plan on even showing up?People like you really piss me off.you sit on a pedestal and criticize everything that everyone tries to do and yet you contribute very little yourself.I know that these comments are going to start a firestorm and quite frankly I don't care.If people sit ideally by and do nothing they are respected.If you try and help the community that has been such a big part of your life for most of your life...that same "group of like minded people" turns around and bites you in the ass.Well...the world is a much worse place when people stop trying to help other people.
And by the way..there were no lies about nat geo...contact Gerry Martin and ask him yourself...

NOw now Donald, let's not jump to conclusions here. Darren did, after all, contact me about the trip. And he has every right to criticize as he is the reptile keeper for a large breeding facility....whatever the hell that is....
You might have offered a bit more explanation in the email....but oh well...

now now roger...one telephone call and one email does not indicate investment.....or else i can say i have invested in all the top 100 companies in the USA.Careful...some people like to speak but hate to do...u i have may and hence i like you.....but people that talk sh*t from behind a profile that does not even have an email address i have no time for....for all of you that what to speak...76043409941.....i have a need 2 speak to any one that whats answers
