I believe what Soberwolf says is right about the WDB being more plentiful here in AZ , but I believe it was in october an elderly lady in Chino Valley died from a Mojave bite , or so the report went . A LOT of construction going on , maybe why the snake wasn't hibernating ?

In the incedent in Chino Valley the lady was stabbing the Mohave with a screwdriver and was bitten several times. Tho' the Mohave in Maricopa county arent as likely to cary the "A" type or Mohave Toxin wich is probabley the most dngerous of rattlesnake venom in North America. The Snakes further north including The Prescott and Chino Valley area are much more likely to have the "A" Toxin .... Shelby

Also some of the snakes in Az. Particularly the Black Tailed Rattlesnake do not always Hibernate or have a shorter hibernation period due to warmer winters.. This winter was mild. My lawn did not go completely dormant.. Gawd I love the desert Shelby
