Hepeotologists need to get a life in stead of getting a **** non paying job.
Next year i am doing the paper round and then i am going to work part time, then be an accountant, and in my spare time play some good footy and read some of my aircraft book collections.
Herpeotology is crap.

Daniel,
Herpetology is not for everyone, which is fine. It does not need to be.
Some folks have a passion for Reptiles and Amphibians, and some folks do not.
As you go through life, you will probably find many things that you like for a while. The only way to know for sure is to give them a try.
Some of those things you will like for a few years, and then grow tired of. Others might become a lifetimes work or hobby.
Hope you find something that makes you happy. That paper route sounds like a good summer job for a 12 year old. Hope it works out for you.
Best Regards John Z

Hey Danny.
I always loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian.
By the time I came to this (back then more free) country and learned English, it was almost too late to go to medical school, since even after u finish it takes some time/investment to get established and get your own clinic. Also I realized, as a vet, u deal with sick animals, I love them healthy and alive.
So what did I do? I went to college and university, to study business/economics,…like u want to do, accounting.
It was easy to me as math was always my favorite subject, I never had to study for it, it came naturally to me. I loved calculus, I loved numbers, I hated applying it in real life as that meant life in the office cubicle.
So what did I do? One year short of getting my economics/business university degree, I dropped out of school and became a private owner and big cat trainer, the timing was right, because that is what I love, my real passion; make sure you know what you truly love rather than what u feel like whining about at the moment or what made u angry/bored at the moment.
I have no regrets, make sure u don’t have any yourself if u want to be truly happy
Z

Herpetology is what it is. It's obviously not for everyone, or else everyone would be here. But keep in mind that he world needs snake people. We are them. Leave us in peace. ;-)
