Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes, the WDB's are small yet. About 2 1/2 feet. And they are caged seperately. So I don't have to seperate them to feed.

welcome to the site, its good you know what you can handle and cant handle, as alaphadogg said you should stay away from me lol listen to his advise and become friends with the rattlers lol....
like everyone said there is advise to listen to and to ignore i would not try to handle them like alapha said they are not going to like ya or be happy to see ya like a little puppy.
alapha didnt you tell me your rattlers where venomoids, far from what he is working with dont you think ? i may not know as much as everyone here or have kept venomous as long but i have kept hots for about 5 years and have around 30 venomous snakes, with out a bite to the wrist....

Terry's advice was rock solid...I even cut and pasted it to put into our in house training program (hope that's okay!).
Nothing makes me feel more confident in my staff than when they tell me they are not comfortable with a certain venomous reptile. That shows maturity beyond years and lets me know that they are not afraid to admit when they are in over their ability level with a certain animal. Oftentimes, we deal with way too much machismo and quite frankly, those are the types of folks who will never, ever work for me. It takes years with me before I will turn over any portion of our venomous run to one of my staff - once they have gotten to that point, they have demonstrated a perfect safety record, attention to safety details, excellent skills and a willingness to learn. That's all I can ask for.
