This realy realy disturbs me :S just the image itself makes me think "idiot" right off the bat. But seeing the words " I actively encourage all of my readers to go out and find deadly Coral Snakes and drape them across the face. It's the reasonable thing to do." just realy turns my stomach...

That could be an interesting way to get a Darwin Award. I believe the soft skin of the lips might accept a bite from a juvenile without a terrible difficulty.

haha yea i'd say anice bite to one of those lil veins just inside the nose, or right there on the lip would realy be disaterus, or could you imagine the thin skin of your eyelid?
baby or not dunno if i would take the risk

I assume this guy feels he is in no real danger.
And, he might not be in terrible risk, taking into consideration ONLY the snakes temprement.
But to free handle ANY venomous animal, let alone stick one on your face, may end very badly.
A few times he might get away with this, WHICH IS STILL STUPID, but if he continues this, eventually he, or an outside source is going to uset that little coral while its on his face.
The animal is small, but I would still bet on that little coral being able to pucture a lip, nose, or alot of those surrounding areas of softer skin, as stated.
What a bad place to get bit by anything!
Nut Cases these days.
The sad part is, he probably tells all of his buddies to go to that site, and look at this photo, proving how "cool" he is.
Just hope he doesnt try this again.
Take Care.

And the Darwin Award goes to.............Guy shows up with hole face bandaged up to receive prize
This has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. If that little guy wanted to, he could cost this “PEST CONTROL NUT” his life. One good bite on the soft skin of the inside of this dudes nose, or the inside of the lip would make this off the wall stunt look good would it not?
Guess this is the sign that some humans or de-evolving, even tho I don’t believe in evolution, I sometimes wonder “LOL”.

I never have understood why people think a coral snake can't open it's mouth wide enough to bite, except between fingers and such...blah blah blah.. I truly have had milk snakes and water snakes smaller than that break skin and draw tiny droplets of blood out...
That snake could bite the flat of his face...ever play tug of war with a coral snake before? They have a pretty tenacious bite. Also, I've seen coral snakes that rival C.atrox in disposition. I caught a Sonoran Coral snake last year at the venom conferance that would put most atrox to shame in fact....
But fortunately the venom isn't injected apparently...it of course drools down the groove or whatever he said...LOL...I love idiots like that!
hey does anyone have the link to that guy that got bit in the face by a Southern Pacific Rattlesnake? I thought I saw it on this site at one time...
Cheers
