The AZA antivenom index is available by contacting AZA at 8403 Colesville Rd., Suite 710
Silver Spring, MD 20910
Anyone may purchase it.
If you really want to get your own antivenom, this has info on how to obtain your IND number and APHIS permit.
Prices are not as high as some say. South African is currently $55/vial, and Thai is only $45/vial. Australian is quite high, however, up to over $1000 for a vial of polyvalent (though keep in mind their vials are much larger than others.)
Generally, getting the antivenom is much cheaper than the hospital bills from a bite. Many people put a lot of money into their snakes and housing, so if you can afford that, you should be able to afford the antivenom.

While those prices are reasonable, how much is crotalidae polyvalent and where can it be purchased?
Seeing your post reminded me to check my supply and it is out dated since 7/02. Ooops! Good thing I wasn't in need.

How much does the AZA antivenin handbook cost? Do you have any phone numbers to the AZA antivenin office? Much thanks to you for posting this info. It seems to me that acquiring a ghost is easier than obtaining antivenin!

go to the AZA site and look up publications,
or just do a search on the "AZA Antivenom index" on yahoo or whatever turns your gears
not that hard to find.....
oh and its $50 by the way, a bit expensive I know but I hope your life means that much and the price of antivenom to everybody.
