thanks archie, anyway i think that a exotic venomous snake bite is bad press regardless of age, i have been doing this for quite some time now, i know i am the youngest keeper to keep snakes like i do, besides john mendrola, i am very knowledgeable, but i will always do what i love, arin

Youngster, nothing personal but folks like you will surely kill our hobby. You are young, arrogant and to say you have kept venomous herps since you were six just leads me believe that you are doing far more harm than good. I'm not sure how closely watched you were by your parents but even my own kids would have received the woopin' of their lives if they attempted to do something like that (and I work with them every day). But, maybe you'll reach one of those crossroads and realize that there are experienced people who are willing to help if you don't get so defensive. Any time you put stuff like this on a public forum you are opening yourself up to criticism - and I'm talking about criticism from people whose experience can walk circles around you (in terms of real experience, maturity, professinalism, resources, accomplishments, etc....being on youtube is not an accomplishment!).
Anyway, I'll just bite my tongue and hold any further comments to myself. The good thing is that you are young and you are not that much different than most of the young people that work for me or volunteer at my place - brains and social needs are still developing which means that they can still be nurtured.

The one thing I know for sure is I can always learn.Life teaches me to remain teachable .I also know that at your age you are good at what you do .YOUR SNAKES ARE IN TIPTOP SHAPE.You have a love for this hobby that is unmatched by many.With that said.I still worry but loose no sleep.I know a little about some of the snakes you posses and you have some hot ones very very hot.Just be careful what you do more than most affects us all.Youtube is in my opinion damaging this hobby daily.Federal regulators state and local monitor these sites looking for a way to regulate us out of existence.Weather you realize it or not you are fuel for their fire.One of the main arguments for banning is under age availability of venomous or deadly animals.I am all for YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND MINE.You walk a very fine line legally you can own no venomous,tho your parents can.The permits are for those 18 or older in our state.Please dont be offended by my ramblings.I do hope to meet you in Sanantonio in march and concider you a brother in this hobby.I just want you to be aware of what could happen in a flash....ARCHIE

thanks archie, and rob, i would suggest that you better bite your toung, i come across this problem many times, one time with you, i guess you forgot it, it seems like you get jealous, and by the way there are lots of people destroying the hobby, like muffdaddy, also as in experience, you have not even met me, i bet i knew so much more than you when you were my age, and you will or people like you can never stop what i love so get used to it, there are a few people today that kept what i am keeping at my age, such as john zegal he supports me because he knows, not every testosterone teenager keeps venomous snakes, and i am not one of them, so rob i hope you can let go before it kills you, arin

Arin I was not trying to turn this on you.. I saw some videos you made not bad.Then I saw some by some IDIOTS and just stated my thoughts on this subject.I think you know that professionalisum in all aspects of this hobby will go a long way in convincing any one of your ability.I hate to see any good keepers go at it here or any where else.Archie

i really don't think being jealous is why rob said anything, i have nephews that are 6 and for them to be able to keep venomous snakes without getting bit is not very believable to me, catching one and lucking out and not getting bit is possible. we as venomous snake keepers are always trying to keep people from getting snakes they shouldn't.
if a person is 20 years old and kept a ball python and some corns for 3 years and said they wanted something like a copperhead or rattler most venomous keepers would say you are probably not ready to keep those snakes. for reason like experience people here where doing it as 6 years old why wouldn't a 20 year old be capable of keeping the same snake as a 6 year old. just though of that reading this post.
i agree that youtube is not showing the best of the hobby.
