Weither bitten ornot there shouldn't be a double standard for a exprenced keeper doing stuff barefoot an a non exprenced just thought i would ad dthis in since it sounded like a double standard to me.

This subject is a monster.If you have money buy some high dollar cages get a decent sized snake room wear proper attire then make awsome films no one can critisize.Money should make this simple.Hire me and I will build it all to the most professional specifications.This is what I do.Your friend..... Archie.......................P.S. and this would never pop up agin.

Chuck if you go over to venom center and then go to the forums,click forums then scroll down to cages and equipment you can see a cage I just built it is almost as large as some snake rooms bigger than a whole lot of them.LOOK UNDER BIG CROC CAGE...........ARCHIE

I can't find the site or the link - can you shoot me a direct link so I can see you cages? Maybe I'll hire you! As far as the rest of the B.S. thread, I think my initial assessment of this kid nailed it on the head. After reading some of the answers, I'm actually kind of stunned that any of us are allowed to keep venomous. Can we really blame legislators for the continued onslaught of the banning of venomous herps? We can't even police ourselves...mostly due to lack of maturity, unscrupulous dealers and lack of education.

First off I thought I would mention that krait bites are treated with mechanical ventilation, antivenin is all too often ineffective against krait bites. Arin, the reason why these people tell you that you are stubborn or tell you that you are showing your age when you make posts it's because you are! When people tell you that you are showing your age they mean that you are way too defensive! Don't take everything the wrong way. When someone tells you that you did something unsafe, don't defend yourself by saying well others did it too, admit your mistake and correct it. In the case of Jim Harrison, he's been bitten multiple times. When a person tells me I'm holding my gun in an unsafe way at a shooting range, I don't argue with them and tell them well others do it too, I aknowledge my mistake and correct it. Don't argue with every single criticism that people have about you. Everyone at one point has been criticized about something and we will all continue to be criticized about whatever. Admit your mistakes if you knonw something like being barefoot while handling snakes is unsafe. Don't whine when people say bad things about you and tell them to whine at someone else. EVERYONE gets criticized, even Al has been criticized on his videos for keeping venomous snakes. If a person tells you that you should not be keeping venomous snakes at all, then go ahead and argue. When they point out an unsafe mistake you are making, there is no argument! On the poine of young people keeping venomous, there will always be 2 sides! Just like guns, there's people that argue for and against it. I can go on forever arguing about how I should have the right to own a gun, while gun control advocates can go on forever arguing about how guns are dangerous. In the end I agree that there should be some restrictions, and the other person agrees that I should have the right to own certain types of guns. When an unsafe mistake you are making is pointed out to sit there and whine about it, that's why you sound hard-headed and childish, aknowledge it and correct it. We have all been criticized about one thing or another, don't think you can go on through life with everybody agreeing with you on everything.
