I got a letter today from Roger Hallman, a.k.a. (Naja Oxiana). The letter was dated 3/2/03. He, at that time, was still in Kuwait awaiting orders. I am sure by now that he is well on his way toward Bagdhad. He asked me to send his regards to the SHHS. We should all stop and think, for a moment, about our priviledge to come home from work, get on our computers, and post messages, bitch, gripe, moan about whatever we want. Who do we thank for this right? Our US soldiers, men and women alike. It's time for us to take a moment away from our busy (Free) schedules and thank those who risk their lives to give us this right. I personally have decided to write to Roger weekly. Anyone wishing to send him a message can e-mail me at wls967@bellsouth.net and I will make sure all messages get to him, or, you may write to him personally at:
LCpl Roger Hallman, USMC
(RCT-7) 3rd LAR H&S Co (C.T.)
UIC 39761
FPO AP 96426-9761
I have focused on Roger in this message, however, there may be other SHHS members who serve our country as well. SHHS VP Karl Betz is another one that I can think of.
Take a moment and think aboout it.

I agree my friend, and we should pray that we don't make the mistake of considering their civilians over our troops and blast the crap out of Bagdad before we enter. Those boys didn't decide to go over there, so let them do what needs to be done. I wonder what kind of snakes they have there!!!

Thank you all for thinking of me. I am at home in Georgia for another 6 months and then I go back to sea on the west coast.
My youngest brother-in-law is in Iraq somewhere and my daughter's unit has just been deployed over there again although she is on medical hold for a knee injury. My youngest son is 82nd Airborne and is currently relatively safe at Fort Bragg. My entire family and family-in-law (odd phrase but accurate enough) is thoroughly involved with the military in one way or another.
My work schedule is more demanding due to world events but I am not in any danger. Please keep our military members in your hearts, minds and prayers whether you support the war effort or not. We are unique in that our military forces are all volunteer and these people have stood up to answer the call to ensure that the United States will continue to be the place where we all would prefer to live. They deserve our full support.
Thank you,
Karl H. Betz
