I agree, especially at your age. I got married at 24 and my now, x-wife, forbid snakes. she did, however, like the anoles around our duplex. we kept 2 of them for nearly a year. fed them grasshoppers when we could catch them and crickets the rest of the year. our favorite time of the day was when we dropped in a couple of grass hoppers or a dozen crickets. keep in mind, if you give them more crickets than they can eat in a day, you will have to listen to the crickets all night long.
