Let me know if I made any mistakes.
Venomous stats updated here, few changes
http://www.rexano.org//Statistics/venomous_captive_snake_fatality.pdf
2009 year was good as nobody died in the uSA by captive venomous snake. So the already low odds went down.
the other change/note was 1999 Delaware case, table 4, more info/explanation regarding the case:
SNIP
1999 – DE
The decomposed body of the man/owner was found near the open cage of a young Diamondback
Rattlesnake; however, CDC doesn’t list any reptile related deaths in Delaware in 1999 (see Table 7)
Voluntarily accepted hobby/occupational hazard, no risk to uninvolved public, real cause of death not public

Z there is only one problem with your stats.NO ONE CARES BUT US..The next couple of years are going to be hairy for us all from lions to hamsters. It is gone to much in to the spot light. There are sanctuaries every where that house big cats bought as pets, the owners thought would always be kittens. There are people going to shows under age buying cobras and mambas.Dumb asses selling to any one with a dollar. The media loves these human interest stories.Animal rights activists sabatoge animal wholesalers .In the end we are the ones that get hit.People who keep exotic pets or specimens at home. You do good work I hope we can pull it together in time ..

<<There are sanctuaries every where that house big cats bought as pets,>>
Most big cats 'sanctuaries' are scam/scumstuaries
meaning people who bought too many pets than went non profit to be able to support them and lied about their origin, saying their pets are rescues as opposed to telling TRUTH, that they bought and bred them themselves.
If u have 100 animals and only one is rescue and u bought 99, should u call yourself a rescue???

Z I know you are right and you have my vote as always. It is these damn politicians .We were a non issue, never looked at twice. Now a days the real problems are so large that smaller things place us with a target on our back.It seems like every year more bills come out and more idiots become involved with exotics.I worked at a pet shop and even owned one for awhile.I did one thing I truly regret.I sold a newly wed couple a cockatoo and you know how much attention they need.So later I took it back so they could give each other some love instead of the bird...They begged me and said it would never stop screaming while a lone.Birds like that become attached funny but wrong.
