also, they have not learned to control the amount of venom they inject, making them VERY dangerous

Hatchlings that are only a FEW Days old were shown to be devoid of Toxicity in a study done by J.M. Gutierrez, B. Lomonte, et. al. This was published in Toxicon back in 1990. However the hatchlings had the highest coagulant effects on plasma and the venom of bushmasters undergoes significatn ontogenetic change with age.
However, within months, they become very toxic (See Ripa, 2001 for first hand accounts of bites from sub-year old animals).
