As far as I know the Ethiopians are still just Naja ssp. waiting to be officially taxinomically described. I believe legionis is now officially the Moroccan Cobra, but I could be mistaken.

Both are Naja haje. Moroccans used to be the subspecies Naja haje legionis, but now they are just Naja haje. The question about Ethiopian cobras came up on another site and WW stated that DNA testing showed that they are Naja haje. So in short, both are localities of Egyptian cobras. -Jamie
